The Nokia N8 is an upcoming Symbian^3 mobile phone. It is Nokia's first camera phone to have a 12 megapixel sensor. Nokia claims that the camera sensor will be 30% larger than any camera sensor in a mobile phone before.
It is Nokia's first smartphone to run on the Symbian^3 operating system. Due to ship in select markets during the third quarter of 2010 at a RRP of €370 ($499; £320) before subsidies and taxes, the N8 features a 3.5-inch, 640x360 capacitive touchscreen that lends itself well to some of the new changes to Symbian, such as the single-tap interaction model, addition of multiple home screens, and customization abilities. In addition, the display will have multi-touch capabilities with gesture support.
With regards to connectivity it has, among other features, HDMI out with Dolby Digital Plus sound and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. The N8 will be the first ever device to support UMTS bands used by both T-Mobile USA and AT&T Mobility, with its Pentaband 3.5G radio.
