Probably you are trying to open large file that your free RAM is not enough to accommodate it. Please note that when opening certain files it they don't take memory from your free space on your memory card or phone memory but from your RAM. I heard that there is latest version of adobe pdf reader for symbian but I haven't tested it yet.
